Since St. Patrick’s Day? We’ve done Easter and then some. With visits from Aunt M and Mamere, we have been all around town.
Joint sisters effort at the fiesta wreath making party.
I’m serious–we went to mass for Easter. We just didn’t take a picture. Too busy getting the you know what out of that madhouse. Church on Christmas and Easter is thankless and joyless. Thankfully, this boy is not.
After the “Easter Egg Hunt”, OJ changed into more seasonally appropriate attire. It’s a habit–“morning” outfits then post-nap “afternoon” outfits. Plane spotting with Aunt M.
Aunt M was in town for a quick visit–with just enough time to take a train ride around Brackenridge Park.
And then she got on a PLAAAANE to go home. The next morning, we were back at the airport because Mamere was coming to here on a PLAAAANE.
Hello, Mamere. Tuesday we met dad at (undisclosed employer) for lunch then later that evening, Texas Caviar with TJ’s quinoa and black bean infused tortilla chips then chicken with brussels sprouts and mustard sauce (a magical way to cook chicken) with risotto. Wednesday we went to breakfast at Magnolia Pancake Haus, then to the toy store so Mamere could get him this sweet new barn.
Baby to bed, mommy and daddy to SPURS. Thoughts? With all of humanity, professional basketball is strange. But we live in here now and college basketball is really close to leaving me for 8 months, so to the SPURS we go. They beat the New Orleans Pelicans, by a lot.
Thursday morning. Yanaguana Garden. It was awesome. And warm. And OJ has discovered his new photobomb face.
Home. Lunch. Nap. Haircut. Before.
During. Appeased by animal crackers and television.
After. WHO STOLE MY KID.
Thursday. Speech, and chilling. Friday. Doseum. Where else.
Home. Lunch. Nap. Botanic Garden.
Quintessential “child in field of bluebonnets” photo achieved. Good job, Texas mom! DC has cherry blossoms, Texas has bluebonnets. Eat your heart out.
